Las Vegas Hotels – Where To Stay

Inexpensive:

Stratosphere
You can’t miss this hotel, it’s the huge tower with the space needle rising from its roof. Rooms are some of the most reasonable in town, but the loud decor leaves something to be desired. View the expanse of Las Vegas from the rooftop pool or dare to go on the Big Shot ride located on the roof of the building.

Moderate:

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino
Play blackjack next to the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Frolic in the pool with the youthful masses. This hotel is definitely for a younger set, but the rooms were recently redecorated, giving them a modern and grown-up feel. With a location off the strip, you’re removed from the hordes of tourists walking the streets, but you’ll also be taking a cab anytime you’d like to join them.

The Mirage
Although this isn’t one of the new über hotels, it has large light-toned rooms with tasteful decor. Its location in the center of the strip is ideal, making it a great home base for a weekend in Las Vegas. All of the amenities apply: decent restaurants, a huge pool, a day spa and golf tee times at a local course.

Upscale:

The Four Seasons
The Four Seasons is an intimate and luxurious getaway. It has its own entrance, check-in and pool but is housed in the top five floors of the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino. The concierge service will arrange helicopter trips to the Grand Canyon, golf outings and local rock climbing in the Nevada desert. It’s a quiet retreat in a loud city. You might forget you were in Vegas if not for the incredible view of the strip.
